SEASON 4 LYRICS
EPISODE 4.01: NEITHER HERE NOR THERE - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Back in the U.S.S.R." by The Beatles
Music composed by John Lennon & Paul McCartney
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
Ohhhhhhh
My partner, Robert Danzig, and I chased a man
I caught him, and the chase was through
A see-through man was leaning over Robert's corpse
He fled, now Robert's see-through too
Now I'm working with Fringe Division
Something I never envisioned
Working with Fringe Division
I tracked Olivia to a strange Harvard lab
She said she'd tell the FBI
I threatened to call the New York Times about this place
With a man who can make dead birds fly
Now I'm working with Fringe Division
Something I never envisioned
Working with Fringe Div-
Working with Fringe Div-
Working with Fringe Division
Well, we went to a car accident scene
Nadine Park was the victim
And thanks to my hunch, Liv and I found out
Some girl named Olivia had a photo of a translucent man
Oh, c'mon!
I found Walter in some tank
He was scared
He said that he saw a man in the mirror
Yeah, I'm working with Fringe Division
It's something I never envisioned
Working with Fringe Division
Well, we tracked down the killer, then he burned his files
Olivia shot him dead
I killed a shapeshifter who looked like Robert
I went to thank Olivia for releasing Robert's body
Olivia ushered me into the neutral zone
That's where I saw Fauxlivia
Olivia gave Fauxliv the shapeshifter disk
Their tone was not exactly warm
I'm working with Fringe Division, yeah!
It's something I never envisioned
Working with Fringe Division
Oh, yeah they raised my clearance level!
Oh boy!
Gotta find out about this new form of human shapeshifters!
Walter said he knew some man could not be trusted!
I'm working with Fringe Division, baby!
EPISODE 4.02: ONE NIGHT IN OCTOBER - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Dear Prudence" by The Beatles
Music composed by John Lennon & Paul McCartney
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
Serial killer on the Other Side
His victims - their brains froze as they died
The alter-Fringe Division
Needs help in catching the culprit, John McClellan
On the Other Side
Olivia and Broyles did respond
Fauxlivia - she made herself blond
The John McClellan from Over Here
Is a professor who studies serial killers
Liv escorted him to the Other Side
He looked around 'round 'round 'round 'round
'Round 'round 'round 'round 'round
He looked around 'round 'round 'round 'round
'Round 'round 'round 'round 'round
He looked around the killer's home
The professor found a photograph
Of his father standing in front of a tractor
He talked about his tendencies
And then he talked about Marjorie
And then he escaped through a bathroom window
The professor thwarted the plans of his double
(Who killed himself with his father's gun)
Potentially saving the lives of many people
He can't remember Marjorie at all
But she left her mark on his soul
An imprint that can never be erased
((Walter, I'm here))
((Can you hear me? I'm right here)
((I'm here, Walter))
((Walter, right here))
((I'm here, Walter, I'm here))
((Walter, I'm here, can you hear me?))
((Please - help me))
EPISODE 4.03: ALONE IN THE WORLD - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Glass Onion" by The Beatles
Music composed by John Lennon & Paul McCartney
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
I had a meeting with Dr. Sumner
Who asked about reflections I covered
I told him 'bout my hallucinations
Caused by self-medication
I've been hearing a weird voice, yeah
I see a strange man in reflections
Looking through a glass mirror
And now another case is upon us
The parasitic Cordyceps fungus
Mutated into a neural network
And it made corpses burst
I called the neural network "Gus," yeah
It forged a psychic link with young Aaron
Gus made Aaron act poorly
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah!
Aaron let it go, and Gus died
Confiding in young Aaron was nice
I told him that I lost Peter twice
Then I tried to do self-lobotomy
Olivia stopped me
She shared a drawing of a man in her dreams
The very same man who's been haunting me
Looking through a glass mirror
EPISODE 4.04: SUBJECT 9 - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" by The Beatles
Music composed by John Lennon & Paul McCartney
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
Liv's asleep, and it's 5:59 a.m.
Energy mass shows up near her bed
Alarm goes off at 6, she wakes and points her gun
Mass dissipates, and it's 5:59 again
Olivia, she sees metal on the floor
Later, Liv and Astrid check it out
Olivia, she shouts, and her bathroom door
Slams shut, as metal flies around
Cortexiphan trials held 25 years ago
When Walter met that astral projection kid
The boy was able to travel outside his body
But metal objects, they were attracted to him
Walter says let's track down Subject 9 now
Gotta track down Subject 9
Put his Matrix idea on hold now
Gotta track down Subject 9, yeah
And perhaps the Cortexi-kids shared psychic links
Perhaps the subject's reaching out to Liv
At least that's what Walter thinks
Olivia sees Nina at Massive Dynamic
Retrieves files regarding Cortexiphan
Turns out that Subject 9 was named Cameron James
She took Walter to see if they could find the man
It's been 3 years since Walter last left the lab
He wants to help track Subject 9
He's not home, so Olivia jimmies the lock
Of the apartment of Subject 9
They find mail addressed to someone named Mark Little
Walter freaks about germs, and he cuts his palms
They leave and get root beer floats
The energy appears there and at Subject 9's place
Cameron James is not the cause of it
Cameron's dad shared his name and used the trust fund for drugs
And that is why he didn't want to share his name
Cameron, he can shatter the energy mass
They all head to a power grid
In the mass, Liv sees a man, and fires her gun overhead
Peter pops up in Reiden Lake
And in the hospital
Olivia asks Peter:
"Who are you?"
EPISODE 4.05: NOVATION - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind
Music composed by Stephan Jenkins
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo
I was transported by guards
To the Federal Building
They escorted me to a holding cell
Novation or weird motivation
Anomaly or paradox, that is me
The DNA tests show I'm Walter's kin
And it's confusing just what I've really been
Keep on waiting for a breakthrough
And I hope somehow I can get through to you
So I spoke to Walter 'bout our universe
Without the alterverse, we would all be cursed
I told him that he built the machine to bridge the two worlds
But Walter said he didn't
I need Walter's help to make some sense of
This alternate timeline, Livie, Livie
No one remembers me
But everything I say is no lie
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo
So Walter said he crossed over to save me
But he said that I drowned at Reiden Lake
What about that bald Observer?
Did he not pull us out of the lake that night?
I was supposed to die in both universes
But I didn't, so I had to be deleted
But if I'm dead, then how am I here?
I grabbed Walter's wrist, but he fled
I hacked the cell intercom
Heard them talking about new shapeshifter tech
I said they are memory disks
I'm sure . . . I can . . . help!
I need Walter's help to make some sense of
This alternate timeline, Livie, Livie
No one remembers me
But everything I say is no lie
The new shapeshifters can switch between
Every identity they've ever been in the past
Every strand of a victim's DNA
Can be replicated by them
Oh, their disks broadcast coordinates
We started tracking the one posing as Nadine Park
And I need Walter's help
To make some sense of this timeline
Livie, I mean nothing to you
But you mean the world to me
That's no lie, no lie, no lie
No lie
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo
Walter held my face and told me always imagined
Just what his son would look like as a man
But he thinks I was sent here to tempt him
To see if he'd repeat mistakes of his past
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo
I need Walter's help
EPISODE 4.06: AND THOSE WE'VE LEFT BEHIND - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Marry the Night" by Lady Gaga
Music composed by Stefani Germanotta & Fernando Garibay
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
I'm gonna fix up my wife
I won't give up on her life
I'm an electrical engineer
Making a basement time chamber
'Cause I am hoping I found
A functional work-around
To Alzheimer's Disease
I just need her complete equation
I'm gonna fix up my wife
Gonna fix up my wife
Gonna bring back my wife
I'm gonna fix up my wife
In here, it is still 2007
I'm gonna fix up my wife
Outside it is 2011
Fa-fa-fa-fix up, fa-fa-fa-fix up
Fa-fa-fa-fix up my wife
Oh, fa-fa-fix up, fa-fa-fa-fix up
Fa-fa-fa-fix up my wife
There are some agents outside
So I show my wife the device
I smack some dude in the head
Who is wearing a Faraday harness
And when we he wakes up, he says
That an agent is dead
And there's a tunnel out there
That could soon disappear, killing people
I'm gonna fix up my wife
Gonna fix up my wife
I'm gonna fix up my wife
I won't give up on trying to save her
I'm gonna fix up my wife
This is my only way to repay her
Fa-fa-fa-fix up, fa-fa-fa-fix up
Fa-fa-fa-fix up my wife
Oh, fa-fa-fix up, fa-fa-fa-fix up
Fa-fa-fa-fix up my wife
She says time displacement causes repercussions
And that's the reason she wants to shut it down
She says there's no way that I could have known
So she demands immunity for me
I can't go on without you
I don't want this for us
They'll take this chamber away
I thought we'd have more time
Sweetheart, I can do it again
Sweetheart, I can build it again
But then you crossed out all your equations
And then you left me a note
That said that how I repay you
Is just love you, and live my life
No, no, I hate this
No, no, I hate this
I hate Alzheimer's disease
No, no, I hate this
No, no, I hate this
I hate Alzheimer's disease
EPISODE 4.07: WALLFLOWER - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Mamma Mia" by ABBA
Music composed by Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus
& Stig Anderson
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
Liv bought pills late at night at a pharmacy
She walked by a diner and saw Lincoln Lee
Liv said that she had a migraine
And that is why she had to walk to get some fresh air
Lincoln said the coffee is good there
He was freaked out and listened to Olivia's advice
She said eventually it will become his life
Ooooh, Ooooh
In the meantime, up on Beacon Hill
Jack was attacked by an invisible entity
Cops arrived, and saw his corpse had turned snow white
Officer Grant fired his gun repeatedly
Grant said he had felt something
He shared this to Olivia and Lincoln Lee
He was hesitant to say it was a ghost
Astrid said if she had never seen a shrink
Her head would have exploded a long time ago
In a secret lab tank, an outline was shimmering
(It was shimmering, baby!)
Slowly turned into a man who was named Eugene
(That's short for "Unknown GENEtic disorder")
Some time later
In the building's elevator
He almost spoke to a fine woman
He didn't, but an another man did
The man and woman left Eugene there
Where he vanished "into the thin air"
Ooooh, Ooooh
In the meantime, at the Harvard lab
Some mucus on Jack's body, Walter found
They're chromatophores that can translocate pigment
Allowing them to blend into their backgrounds
Astrid took the blood and traced the DNA
To Baby Boy Bryant who lived only 4 days
They thought he died of a genetic abnormality
Nina told them 'bout the experiment
Walter said Eugene's trying to reverse this
Then Olivia confronted Eugene (blue man!)
He somehow escaped just as Lincoln arrived
Eugene spoke to to the fine elevator woman
She smiled and left, and soon Eugene was dead
Liv invited Lincoln to the diner
Lincoln put on glasses Peter gave him
But Nina went to Liv's place with two masked men
They knocked Liv out with seeping gas
They injected Liv with Cortexiphan
Nina, Nina
Will we ever know
My! My! Are you friend, or are you foe?
EPISODE 4.08: BACK TO WHERE YOU'VE NEVER BEEN
- The Fringemunks
Parody Medley of R.E.M. Songs:
o "We All Go Back to Where We Belong" - music composed by
Peter Buck, Mike Mills & Michael Stipe
o "Fall on Me" - music composed by Bill Berry, Peter Buck,
Mike Mills & Michael Stipe
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
I've dreamt for years that I would see
You standing here in front of me
You're exactly how I thought you'd be
You say that you are not my son
The one in '85 I lost
I know - there's no need to convince me
You're the only person I can trust
You have no alliances
You made your way to my residence
And chatted with Elizabeth
She made sure you were safely transported here
You're the one in whom I can confide
You have no allegiance to either side
You want to go back to where you belong
You want to go back to where you belong
This is really what you want
This is really what you want
__________________________________________________
You crossed here with the Other Side's Lincoln Lee
Arrived at Island Liberty
Agent Murphy shot his partner, and tried to shoot you
You escaped eventually
I need you to cross back, and tell them, please:
There's no fault in me (I'm not the man behind the shapeshifters)
Fault in me (I am not their enemy)
Fault in me (Please tell them not to blame me)
Your opinion of me is very ill
You thought I tried to have you killed
But I need you to know not everything is as it seems
You say that this is not your fight
But please cross back and tell the Other Side
There's no fault in me (I'm not the man behind the shapeshifters)
Fault in me (I am not their enemy)
Fault in me (Please tell them not to blame me)
There's no fault in me
Well, I zapped the shapeshifter
Who is posing as Dr. Fayette
And whoever their leader is
To us all, he's a threat
The machine, you say I'll understand
For you, I'm willing to lend a hand
But please cross back, and tell them that
There's no fault in me (I'm not the one running the shapeshifters)
Fault in me (I am not their enemy)
Fault in me (Please tell them not to blame me)
No fault in me
No fault in me (I'm not the one running the shapeshifters)
Fault in me (I am not their enemy)
Fault in me (Please tell them not to blame me)
EPISODE 4.09: ENEMY OF MY ENEMY - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Mr. Know It All" by Kelly Clarkson
Music composed by Brian Seals, Ester Dean, Brett James & Dante Jones
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
Sha la la la la la la la, yeah. Mmm. Uh huh.
David Robert Jones
The call from Murphy's phone
Traced to your warehouse zone
And they found you alone
With a lady shapeshifter - 1 of 47
You killed the lady shapeshifter, and then
You said, "Take me to your leader" - yeah
David Robert Jones
You're scarred down to the bone
Death you somehow postponed
And by your nervous tone
I can tell I'm a variable you didn't plan for
You don't know me, but I've met you before
Alter-Lincoln gave you tea to swallow
In my timeline, I sliced you, sliced you
In this timeline, you made it through, made it through
But David, you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me
I remember the last time I saw you
Falling apart, and they had to wrap you
So you wouldn't turn into a puddle
Yeah, David, you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me
David Robert Jones
A lady called on the phone
We heard deaths in an E.R. zone
So we had to let you go
'Cause we wanted to avoid more casualties
Hundred-dollar bills in Manhatan, you gave away
With the same frequency as your signal - yeah, yeah
David Robert Jones
You were at the Mohonk Quarry zone
You crossed to the other side alone
'Cause you're searching for limestone
'Cause underneath you'll find Amphylicite
It becomes a power source if you process it right
I'm afraid you may know how to weaponize it
In my timeline, I sliced you, sliced you
In this timeline, you made it through, made it through
But David, you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me
Walternate and both Olivias
And both Broyleses and both Lincolns and me
We'll work together as a team
David, you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me
You think you've got both alterworlds at your feet
And you know everything about everything
But you don't - somewhere, we stopped you before
And we can stop you again, yeah!
Elizabeth, she crossed over, over
She had a talk with Walter, Walter
She convinced Walter to help me
Walter told me he will help me
(In my timeline, I sliced you, sliced you)
I was very surprised to learn that
Walternate is not the man I thought he was, but ...
(In this timeline, you made it through, made it through)
... I'm not surprised to learn Walter is
Walter asked me if that is a good thing
I said yes, that is a very good thing
David Robert Jones
You're chilling to the bone
Your location is unknown
But David, you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me
EPISODE 4.10: FORCED PERSPECTIVE - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera
Music composed by Adam Levine, Benny Blanco, Ammar Malik
& Shellback
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
Oh! Oh!
I chatted with Broyles 'bout the bald dude
Who has antibodies for the Spanish Flu
The flu was last seen in 1919
How old he must be!
Broyles assigned me more security
Once he found out this info from me:
The bald dude told me
In all futures he sees
I will be deceased
The new case goes like this:
A teen girl named Emily Mallum
She sees deaths before they happen
With that forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
Reverse-ripple premonition
Hears a hum then she draws her vision
With that forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
Until now, I believed in fate never
But given this case, I am not sure
Saw Emily and
A death drawing in hand
Prevent it, perhaps we can
Oh! Emily's brain, Walter did probe
The theta-one waves in her occipital lobe
Are very active
And her brain's oxygen
Is elevated
Oh, yeah, yeah!
And it goes like this:
It's tough for the Mallum Family
They move around due to Emily
And her forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
Reverse-ripple premonition
Perhaps God gave her a mission
With that forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
Then Emily's dad
He got real mad
No matter where they've hid
Shady people get up in their biz
All to expose their secret
All to Massive Dynamic
But soon in us, he trusted
We traced her drawing then
To Albert Duncan
Emily is hypnotized
Ooooh - then she saw bodies fly
She saw a sign in Latin - it reads:
DEI JUDICIUM FIAT JUSTITIA
Which meant: "By God's judgement, let justice be done"
We traced Duncan to a courthouse
We knew he had a bomb
Thanks to Emily's forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
She's got that forced perspective
Duncan surrendered to us, but
Emily died, overloaded
With that forced perspective
Killed by the forced perspective
Killed by the forced perspective
EPISODE 4.11: MAKING ANGELS - The Fringemunks
Parody of "We Are Young" by fun. feat. Janelle Monae
Music composed by Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost, Jack Antonoff,
Matthias Bell & Samuel Means
Parody Lyrics, All Instruments and Production by David Wu
Give me a second
I . . . I need to get your story straight
Your father died and so
You crossed to here in a confused state
You have a high security clearance as a senior agent, so
The park you were at was cold
And you didn't know where else to go, yeah
I heard about you through Olivia
It's nice to meet you personally in the flesh
So here's some coffee that I brewed
It's rare back on your side, it's true
You're making me reflect a bit
So after the time the case closes
I'll travel back on home
And say hi to my dad
Tonight
We are Astrid
Even though you have Asperger's
You were a good daughter
Full of love
Tonight
We are Astrid
We shouldn't regret that we could have
Been more for our dads
'Cause it wasn't us
There's a killer with a glowing blue rod
His victims have tears of blood
And that reminds Walter Bishop
Of the mythical Tears of Ra
The poison's compounds
They interact somehow
It's not magic, but unusual science
Tonight
We are Astrid
Even though you have Asperger's
You were a good daughter
Full of love
Tonight
We are Astrid
You should know I think you're brilliant
One in a million
Gifted one, you are
The killer, Neil, is a TSA screener
Who works at Logan Airport
He thinks he saves his victims
From living lives of agony
He thinks he's doing good deeds
He'd been a prof at MIT
He became obsessed with high-level
Differential equations
(I'm going back home tonight)
(I'm going back home tonight)
(I'm going back home tonight)
(I'm going back home tonight)
If Neil solved them, he would see his
Past, present and future
His house is at Reiden Lake
When his bro died, his mom said
That God had took the wrong one
The priest said angels don't belong on earth
Neil told his mom see you in heaven
Olivia killed him
(Fauxlivia crossed to this side)
(Walter was still mad at her)
(He returned a metal cube he thought was used to spy)
(But it really hold Bobbins)
(They almost taste like mints)
(Then he gave her a Red Vine)
(Perhaps he likes her after all)
Tonight
We are Astrid
Even though you have Asperger's
You were a good daughter
Full of love
Tonight
We are Astrid
So you think that you're too formal
You think that I'm normal
But I'm not
So after the time the case closes
I'll hug my dad at home
We'll say we love each other tonight
