EPISODE 1.01: PILOT - The Fringemunks
Parody of "American Pie" by Don McLean
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

A long, long week ago,
I can still remember when that agent used to make her smile
And I knew there was not a chance
That they'd disclose their sweet romance
And, maybe, they could hide it for a while

Then Flight 627 made me shiver
The see-through passengers made me quiver
Vomit on the doorstep
There was no need for forceps

I thought that it was out of place
When Broyles sent Dunham to that storage space
Oh this was just a couple days
Before the agent died

So...

CHORUS:
My, my, Agent Johnny Scott died
Reanimated? Maybe slated...
Now he's just a dead guy
Will Massive Dynamic really help him survive?
Singin' "Will he really come back to life?
Will he really come back to life?"

John Scott caught that see-through bug
At that storage space where that bomb went off
Olivia only bumped her head
Could that hospital really save John? No!
Dr. Bishop was the only hope
And Peter, his son, was the only way to obtain him

He was trying to hide from old Big Ed
Had to stay in Baghdad, or he'd be dead
An FBI file he earned (Olivia lied about it!)
So he sucked it up, and returned, oh!

They reunited at the facility
Dr. Bishop shaved, and then was free
And so began the team of three
Before the agent died

That's right, I'm singin'...
CHORUS

Pete, Liv and Doc had their debates
'Bout combining Liv and John's dream states
Peter thought they were insane
But the Doc he did it! I don't know how
Nor did Astrid Farnsworth or Gene the Cow
But Liv's and John's dream waves, they turned the same

Then she saw a tombstone in a graveyard lair
Saw her Uncle's kayak in the air
Then ol' John Scott appeared
Fringe science can be weird

Then Olivia made a computerized picture
Of Passenger 108's twin named Richard
The hunt was on, and they caught the man
Before the agent died

And I was singin...
CHORUS

They found the stuff to save John Scott
... It turns out it was all for naught
He got well, then killed Richard Steig
I locked down the hospital room and then
John Scott drove off in a darkened van
That two-faced man, he almost got away

But Olivia chased him far
And John Scott, he crashed his car
Then John told Olivia: "Ask yourself
Why Broyles sent you to the storage cell..."

And the trio we're pinning out hopes on
The father, son and liaison
Decided to keep their basement zone
The day the agent died

So I'm singing...
CHORUS 2X

EPISODE 1.02: THE SAME OLD STORY - The Fringemunks
Parody of "100 Years" by Five for Fighting
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

I'm a newborn, for 2 seconds
And then I start rapid aging
I'm a test tube human
Christopher Penrose is my name

I'm 8 months old, for 2 seconds
I'm just a cultivated soldier
And I can't help it
There's only one way to counter this

Pituitary glands I need
Obituaries you will read
Open, please
There's no other way better than this
Or I'll only have 2 minutes left to live

I'm 10 years old, for 2 seconds
I look just like the other clonies
But I'm no phony
Because Dr. Penrose loves me dearly

I'm 17, for 2 seconds
And I am still rapid aging
And I can't help it
There's only one way to counter this

Pituitary glands I need
Obituaries you will read
In tomorrow's edition of the Boston Herald
Pituitary glands I need
Open please,
There's no other way better than this
Or I'll only have 2 minutes left to live

I might be 25, and I need to survive
But that agent lady chases me in the night
Don't have my hormones and so I will die

I'm 85, for a moment
Dying, just for another moment
To tell the agent
That the doc should have let me die

8 months old, I envy you
10 years old, remember you
17, you start to freak!
Was it 25 years, or just a week? Ooohh...

Pituitary glands I need
Obituaries you will read
Open, please
There's no other way better than this
Or I'll only have 2 minutes left to live

EPISODE 1.03: THE GHOST NETWORK - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Ballad of John and Yoko" by The Beatles
Music Composed by John Lennon & Paul McCartney
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

Standing in the booth of confession
Roy was talking there with a priest
Then Roy saw the vision of the bus in submission
The passengers started to freeze
Broyles, you know it ain't easy
You know how hard it can be
If you don't tell me
The information I need

Dead on the bus was an agent
Evelina Mendoza, her name
A covert DEA with a great resume
But the Pattern scared her, just the same
Broyles, you know it ain't easy
You know how hard it can be
If you don't tell me
The information I need

Grant Davidson was Mendoza's buddy
I didn't know that he was a risk
Davidson turned his back, cut an 'X' on her hand
Then took out a circular disc
Broyles, you know it ain't easy
You know how hard it can be
If you don't tell me
The information I need

Peter caught a fellow who was on his tail
Took away the camera's flash memory
Was he with Big Ed? He turned and he said:
"You should have checked in before you came ... BACK!"

Peter played a tune on the piano
The song was "Someone to Watch Over Me"
When Walter B. hears a groove, helps his focus improve
And perhaps a new clue, this could be
Broyles, you know it ain't easy
You know how hard it can be
If you don't tell me
The information I need

Caught an early plane to see Nina
After that, I felt like a schmuck!
I can't really tell, is she heaven or hell?
Guess it always comes back to the duck
Broyles! You know it ain't easy
You know how hard it can be
If you don't tell me
The information I need
If you don't tell me
The information I need

EPISODE 1.04: THE ARRIVAL - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Gold Digger" by Kanye West feat. Jamie Foxx
Music Composed by Kanye West, Ray Charles & Renald Richard
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

Vibrates at 2 and 4 M-H-z's
Yeah, radiating frequencies
Oh it's a hole digger
Way underground
That digs on deep

(Vibrates at 2 and...)
Now I'm sayin' it's a hole digger (...4 M-H-z's)
The dark heavy bullet-shaped figure (Vibrates at 2 and...)
Now I'm sayin' it's a hole digger (... 4 M-H-z's)
The dark heavy bullet-shaped figure (I gotta leave)
Go beacon, go head get down (I gotta leave)
Go beacon, go head blast down (I gotta leave)
Go beacon, go head get down (I gotta leave)
Go beacon, go head (yeah)

Cylinder beacon
Blew a gas main, Brooklyn
It was pure iridium
We don't know where from
I asked Walter what it is
Why are you keepin' mum
Then I told Olivia
Yo this is the last one, then I'm gone
I'm not having too much fun - dontcha notice?
I don't do well staying in one place - you know this!
Big Eddie's after me - staying here is attrocious
And Walter says my ideas are absorbed through osmosis!
OK, took the capsule to test it in the lab
Walter said "it's called 'sound,'" like I don't have vocab
He stuck a needle into Astrid when I went to get foil
I woke Astrid up, and got yelled at by Broyles - don't know why!
Questioned Walter in that FBI place
Couldn't help but shake my head when I looked at his face
He called me small-minded, then insulted my mom
I don't care what none of y'all say - I'm gone!

17 years, 17 years
He was in the institution for 17 years
Sometimes I feel cursed for being his only kid
He lectures me at night when he's buck naked
I am the babysitter, he's the baby with the rattle
I can't get to sleep, and that's not the full battle
He obsesses over root beer floats, I must tattle
These Pattern assignments, I don't like them at all
I'm tired of the lab with the scent of fine cattle
Where I was attacked by John Mosley of Seattle (Seattle, Seattle)
And this Mosley punk, holla'd
Where's the cylinder, WHERE'S THE CYLINDER? YEAH!
It seems that I somehow knew
But that can't be right, thought I had no clue
The wires inserted up my nostrils too far
If an actor played my part, send him straight to the E.R.

Now there's a creepy bald guy and he truly intrigues
And this CBG be giving me the hee bee gee bees
He goes out to eat and he will pay a full 20
Give 11 jalapenos to the Observer, please
And the waitresses can't help but reckon
He eats a full burger in 3.1 seconds
He got no taste buds, baby, look in his eyes
No tears - Tabasco be drownin' his fries!
Got no hair, no beard
Got no eyebrows, and yeah that's weird
Walter says this dude saved my life years ago, but take care hun
He'll read all your thoughts, and knock you out with a stun gun

Go beacon, go head get down (now I can't leave)
Go beacon, go head blast down (now I can't leave)
Go beacon, go head get down (now I can't leave)
Go beacon, go head (yeah)

Departure on schedule...

EPISODE 1.05: POWER HUNGRY - The Fringemunks
Parody medley of "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon
(music composed by Kevin Cronin) and "Hooked On a Feeling" by
B.J. Thomas/Blue Swede (music composed by Mark James)
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

I can't fight this feeling any longer
My body still conducts electric flow
It started with that advertisement in the paper
Oh how I wish I had the strength then to say "no"

When I'm feeling scared or angry
I fluctuate the lights
I power on car engines
When I walk by them at night
And I cut off my boss's hand without having a fight

And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I made an elevator crash down to the basement floor
I zapped my mom's pacemaker to the core
She collapsed and was no more
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore

[Oo-ga-SHOCK-ah, Oo-ga, Oo-ga
Oo-ga-SHOCK-ah, Oo-ga, Oo-ga...]

I can't stop this feeling
Powering out of me
I'm not sure what Jacob Fischer did to me

When I'm jealous or my anger's on
When I'm anxious, that will turn it on
I ... I'm hooked on a feeling
Why am I dealing with electricity?

I had a crush on a desk clerk, her name was Bethany
She was very sweet, and also a Weebalo wanna-be
She saw that cell phone picture I took of her last week
I'm so sad I killed her inadvertantly

When I'm jealous or my anger's on
When I'm anxious, that will turn it on
I ... I'm hooked on a feeling
Why am I dealing with electricity?

ba ba-da ba ba ba ba-da ba
ba ba-da ba ba ba ba-da ba, ooooh

When I'm jealous or my anger's on
When I'm anxious, that will turn it on
I ... I'm hooked on a feeling
Why are there pigeons hovering over me?

And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I made an elevator crash down to the basement floor
I zapped my mom's pacemaker to the core
She collapsed and was no more
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore

EPISODE 1.06: THE CURE - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Friday I'm in Love" by The Cure
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

Holly's Diner: Emily showed up
They fed her soup and they called the cop
The customers died and her head blew up
She had lymphocemia

Tested her carcass on the basement floor
Her hyacinth scent made my heart soar
Too bad there is no antidote for
Bellini's lymphocemia

Olivia, wait
You have a short fuse as of late
You haven't been this mad to date

Mr. Papaya went ka-boom
The crooks kidnapped Claire Williams too
She was trapped in an unknown room
She had lymphocemia

Dr. Patel was a shady bald man
He mentioned David Esterbrook then
He took his gun and blasted his head
Right in front of Olivia

Olivia, wait
We know it's not PMS, OK?
You're worrying 'bout your stepdad's fate

So when you were 9
He was so out of line
Abusing your mom - yeah, he should have been fined
He broke her nose, so unkind
Then you made up your mind
You shot him twice, and he almost died
When you think back to then
You wish you'd shot him again
Cuz he recovered and he vanished from sight
He sends you cards every year
On your birthday, it's clear
He's onto you, Olivia

So this case would not fall apart:
Peter tracked down Nina Sharp
They struck a deal - but was that smart?
All for lymphocemia

Nina's info was good for us
The FBI stormed INtREPUS
Claire stabbed her neck with the needle
To stall the methyl eugenol

EPISODE 1.07: IN WHICH WE MEET MR. JONES - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Mr. Jones" by Counting Crows
Music Composed by Adam Duritz & David Bryson
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

Sha la la la la la, yeah. Mmm. Uh huh.
Agent Loeb was in Weymouth
Sting operation on a truck full of pandas
He strikes up a conversation
Back in Boston with his friend, Agent Broyles
They were sharing their notes on Joseph Smith
When Loeb to the floor he fall
They rush him to the hospital
His wife Samantha starts to bawl
Wrapped around Loeb's entire heart is a parasite
Sha la la la la la la la la, yeah. Give Walter gum, yeah.

We take Loeb to our lab
Samantha hands me a paper with numbers
That Loeb brought back from Frankfurt, Germany
The DNA of the parasite we analyze
With a Caesar Shift, it spells out "ZFT." Yeah.

Mr. Jones and me in a prison in Germany
At first they won't let me see him
So I write him a note, and he writes one back to me
He'll talk to me only if
He first talks to Joseph Smith
So I call Peter to tell Broyles to find Smith, but apparently

Well, Broyles had taken a call from Charlie
They had found a lead on Joseph Smith
Broyles was on a raid to capture him
So Peter jumped in the Vista Cruiser
Drove to 4331 Broad Street, Saugus
Because the SWAT team was on radio silence
They shot Smith in the head
But his death might only just be an inconvenience

Mr. Jones and me, face-to-face the next morning
We only have 14 minutes
I'm questioning him, but somehow he knows something 'bout me
He's smilin' in the bright lights
In an otherwise darkened room
The question he wants to relay to Smith is:
"Where does the gentleman live?"

Meanwhile, Dr. Bishop
Is connecting Peter's brain to Joe Smith

We're running out of time
Eh, apparently the connection's not working
Walter says Peter thinks too much
A curse that runs in their family
Peter doesn't hear anything
So Walter injects him with a euphoria inhibitor
Then suddenly Peter asks for paper,
Closes his eyes, draws vertical lines, yeah

Mr. Jones tells me someone may be manipulating us
We only have a few seconds left
The guards they come, start dragging me away
I rush Astrid for the answer
Walter realizes that brain damage from the shot
Interferes with Smith's perception of horizontal lines
So Peter needs to fill in the blanks

Mr. Jones and me, time is up, but finally
They find the answer: "LITTLE HILL"
I yell it to Jones, he tells the antidote to me
He seems to know much about me
But I don't know why, and I don't know how
I tell my friend Lucas about this
But all he wants is an excuse to call on me

Mr. Jones and me
What exactly is our connection?

EPISODE 1.08: THE EQUATION - The Fringemunks
Parody medley of Ben's Theme (from Fringe) and Theme From "Happy Days"
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments by David Wu

Jeremy Stockton
Driving with his son, Ben
Through a storm
With low visibility

Ben was composing
This song that he could not end
Wipers were so fast
Their tempo distracted him

Middletown, Connecticut
Joanne claimed that her car was dead
Jeremy stopped to lend a hand
Lights were flashed - 3 greens, 1 red
Joanne drove off with Ben

CHORUS:
And that is why
Why I went back
Back to St. Claire's
And that is why
Why I went back
For a visit

Ben was the latest abductee
The others were experts to a high degree
All were kidnapped by Joanne
Who turned them into psycho men

CHORUS

In the lab, an experiment
I flashed the lights - 3 greens, 1 red
Peter cut his sleeves in a haze
Just like Chachi from Happy Days

INTERLUDE

Then I sang some Christmas carols
One of them was "Jingle Bells"
Sang the word "dashing"; suddenly then
I remembered Dashiell Kim
An inmate at St. Claire's

CHORUS

At St. Claire's, I talked to Dash
Our conversation was somewhat rash
We fought about an equation
Dr. Sumner gave me sedation

CHORUS

In my cell, I saw a duplicate me
I looked clean and so healthy
The next morning, Dash told me
'Bout the red castle in his memory

CHORUS

Reunited Ben and Jeremy
And that is why
Why I went back to St. Claire's

Tell me, is the status unknown?
Walter, though the shirt wasn't damaged
Hey Doctor, the cuts are clear to the bone

You say you believe it's a hallucinogen, hallucinogen
You say you believe the substance is secreted
By amphibian skin

Young's apartment, evidence of a crook
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Dunham saw "MONARCH" in his planning book
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
An e-mail from the dead Agent Scott
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
It led her to some toads in a box
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

Now Walter, did you hear about this one?
You say that coffee yogurt is great
Walter, are you reading the Bible?
Hey Doctor, you'd better urinate

You say you believe it's a hallucinogen, hallucinogen
You say you believe the substance is secreted
From amphibian skin

[INTERLUDE]

Peter meets up with his old friend, Tess
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
He beats up Michael for hurting her wrist
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Dunham is inside the tank once again
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
She sees Agent Scott and George Morales then
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

Walter, did you hear 'bout Morales?
They caught him... but he died today
And Dunham wants to flush out John's memories
Hey Doctor, is there a safer way?

You say you believe it's a hallucinogen, hallucinogen
You say you believe the substance is secreted
From amphibian skin

[INTERLUDE]

You say you believe it's a hallucinogen, hallucinogen
You say you believe the substance is secreted
From amphibian skin

You say you believe it's a hallucinogen, hallucinogen
You say you believe the substance is secreted
From amphibian skin

You say you believe it's a hallucinogen, hallucinogen
You say you believe the substance is secreted
From amphibian skin

EPISODE 1.10: SAFE - The Fringemunks
Parody of Theme from "The Greatest American Hero"
Music composed by Mike Post
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

We broke into a bank in Philly
It was an unusual theft
It's too bad that Lugo got trapped in the wall
I shot his head, then we all left

Believe it or not
I'm walking through walls
I always knew the Chess Club would succeed
We finally broke in
Box six hundred ten
What could it be?
No one will understand except me

You complain about how I shot Lugo
If you don't like this, you can leave
We're heading to another bank, in Providence
We have one more box to retrieve

Believe it or not
I'm walking through walls
I always knew the Chess Club would succeed
We finally broke in
Box nine-eight-seven
What could it be?
No one will understand except me

Eastwick fell behind our crew
Running from the feds
They shot and captured him too
His hand was shaking
From radiation poisoning

Meanwhile at the prison in Germany
Jones took a Dramamine pill
He'd snapped Kohl's neck, then he put on his suit
While we waited in Little Hill

Believe it or not
Jones appeared in the ring
I knew that teleportation would succeed
Olivia fell for our bait
Jones said, "Let's not keep her waiting"
What does this mean?
No one will understand except me
What does this mean?
No one will understand except me

Mitchell Loeb is bound

She saw the shoes
Agent Loeb's shoes
She saw the shoes (yay hey hey)
Agent Loeb's shoes (yay hey hey)
She saw the shoes (yay hey hey)
Agent Loeb's shoes (yay hey hey)

EPIS. 1.12: THE NO-BRAINER - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga
Music composed by Lady Gaga & RedOne
Parody lyrics and All instruments/Production by David Wu

Mum mum mum mah
Mum mum mum mah

Greg Wiles was talking with Luke Dempsey on the phone
His mom said "please take Bucky out," then left him all alone (goodbye)
Weird images from his computer put him in a daze
A hand reached out and suddenly it latched onto his face

Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, ohh-oh-e-ohh-oh-oh
It zapped him hard, killed him on the spot
Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, ohh-oh-e-ohh-oh-oh
It zapped him hard, killed him on the spot

Turn the corpse on his back
So we can drain the liquid brains
(Viral audiovisual stimuli...)
Drill a hole in his head
So we can drain the liquid brains
(...cooked his brain and cooked his hard drive)

L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)
L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)

At a car dealership, things are a bit insane
The GM lying in a puddle of his melted brain (it's nasty)
Walter said his cause of death was just like Gregory's
I took the GM's hard drive and I went to see Akim

Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, ohh-oh-e-ohh-oh-oh
Akim took me to his secret lab
Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, ohh-oh-e-ohh-oh-oh
Akim told me the program's complex

Turn the corpse on his back
So we can drain the liquid brains
(The program's now being downloaded)
Drill a hole in his head
So we can drain the liquid brains
(It's at Olivia's apartment)

L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)
L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)

So we rushed to the apartment
Liv's niece Ella had the laptop
She was stiff and she was frigid
Stopped her before her brain turned to liquid

The FBI questioned Luke Dempsey
Whose dad, Brian, worked for
Greg Wiles' dad, who fired him, fired him
After which Brian turned psycho

We deduced Brian Dempsey
Targeted people who pissed him off
(That is why he made the program)
We followed Luke to a warehouse
Where Brian Dempsey's headquarters were
(Eventually Brian killed himself)

And then back at the lab,
Jessica Warren confronted Walter
(She found him despite my resistance)
She's the mom of Carla, who was Walter's
former lab assistant
(The one who was killed 18 years ago)

Jessica and Walter embraced
As I was looking at them
(I realized Olivia was right)
I got drunk, and then I walked to Olivia
to tell her:
(I'm grateful Walter's in my life now)

L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)
L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Olivia's sister smiled at me)
(Mum mum mum mah)

L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)
L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)

L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)
L-L-L-Liquid brains, L-L-Liquid brains
(Mum mum mum mah)

EPISODE 1.13: THE TRANSFORMATION - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John
Music composed by Elton John & Bernie Taupin
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

VertusAir Flight 718
Marshall Bowman's nose starts to bleed
He swabs his mouth in the lavatory
And then he starts to freak
'Cause when he dabs the swab in the vial
The liquid turns to red
Bowman transforms into a porcu-man
That causes the ill-fated airplane to crash
Ahhhh, Ahhhh

So goodbye, Agent John Scott
Even though you've been dead half a year
Your memories are trapped in Olivia's head
Where Daniel Hicks and Bowman appear
We find a glass disk hidden in Bowman's hand
The FBI questions Dan Hicks
Oh he starts to transform, and he says "Conrad"
And then I dose him with a sedative
Ahhhh, Ahhhh, Ahhhh

Olivia meets with the dealers
With Peter at her side
Hicks' virus acts up, so Peter tries a gambit
Says Ernesto's about to die
Conrad knows Peter is lying
Olivia gives the "Christmas" cue
Conrad orders his men to kill Peter and Liv
But then the FBI agents storm the room
Ahhhh, Ahhhh

So goodbye, Agent John Scott
Olivia's back in the tank to see you
You give her the ring and you disappear
Then she whispers "I love you, too"
You two could be married in another dimension
But in this one, John, you are not
Oh I finally think that our future lies
Without you, Agent John Scott
Ahhhhh, Ahhhhh, Ahhhhh

EPISODE 1.14: ABILITY - The Fringemunks
Parody of "ABC" by The Jackson 5
Music Composed by The Corporation
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

A-ba-ba-ba-ba
A-ba-ba-ba-ba

There was a Boston newsstand
Run by Thomas Avery
Yeah some dude bought a paper with a 2-dollar bill
Avery's eyelids get gooey
And then his mouth and nose seal over (they seal over)
Succumbs to suffocation (suffers suffocation)
Edward at the bookstore helped Peter B.
To find that manuscript of ZFT

ZFT
Tells us how it will be
Results of technology, ZFT
Read that manifesto to me
ZFT
Tells us how it will be
Results of technology, ZFT
Read that manifesto to me

Come on Walter read me just a little bit
Come on Walter read me just a little bit
Sounds a bit scary, but just spit it out
Come on, come on, come on, can you tell us what it's all about?

Mr. Jones was in the lobby
On his coat he held a key
But listen, without Agent Dunham, he won't say a word now
But he can jam a surveillance feed
Jo-jo-jo-jones is gonna test Liv (test Liv, test Liv)
Evaluation system (it is test 1 of 10)
Somehow Olivia turns out the lights
It's ZFT - can we put up a fight?

ZFT
Tells us how it will be
Results of technology, ZFT
Read that manifesto to me
ZFT (it's German...)
Tells us how it will be (...stands for Zerstšrung dursh Fort-)
Results of technology, ZFT (-schritte der Technologie, yeah!)
Read that manifesto to me

That's the meaning of ZFT
"Destruction by Advancement of Technology"
Read that manifesto to me!

Oooooooooooh, yeah!
Yeah, good job Olivia!
You passed the test!
(You did it, you did it, you did it...)
Now!
Look out Olivia!
Jones... he busted through that wall!

Read it, read it Walter, come on now!
Read it, read it Walter, oooh oooh
Read it, read it Walter, yeah!
Get off the crapper, Walter, oooh oooh!
"Parallel world of beings," ah ah!
"There'll be confrontation baby," now!
That's what it says in ZFT

ZFT
Tells us how it will be
Results of technology, ZFT
Read that manifesto to me

There is a raised "y" in the manuscript...

EPISODE 1.15: INNER CHILD - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Scarborough Fair/Canticle" by Simon & Garfunkel
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

547 Marlborough Street
Where there was an Artistic crime
Remember me to one agent there
Olivia is a true friend of mine

I was found in the dark, underground
(Hairless and trembling and naked)
In a room cordoned off by bars
(Before the building was brought to the ground)
At Boston Children's Hospital
(They gave me a sweatshirt that says "Northwestern")
On my bald head, I had a scar
(Olivia brings me a bag of M&M's)

Eliot Michaels walked in the room
(He's a social worker, or he claims he is)
He brings Olivia outside to talk
(I can't hear them talk, but I can feel them)
My heartrate spikes, my monitors beep
(Olivia returns and then I'm fine)
Then I write the name of that street

I have a yellow M&M pile
(I shape them into a fir tree)
I am trying to give her a clue
(Olivia holds my hand while we walk out)
Dr. Bishop dances to an Al Green LP
(He made me smile, gettin' jiggy with "Love and Happiness")
The neural stimulator's placed on my head

I wrote down a set of cross streets
Where they stopped an Artistic crime
They drove me away to a nice family
Then I saw a Creepy Bald Guy

EPISODE 1.16: UNLEASHED - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

Swift Research was the site of a gruesome scene
Animal rights group unleashed a beast
They tried to outrun
I could-a been responsible for this one
No they could not outrun
I could-a been responsible for this one

Charlie Francis heard some screaming and found a tree
He was attacked by the runaway beast
And was stung
I could-a been responsible for this one

In the 1980s
Wasn't careful what I'd do
Though my transgenic lab work failed
I was doing secret work for
Kelvin Genetics then
Now I need to do my best
To clean up all this mess, hey hey

In the sewer, I shot the monster
I drank the poison and blasted it with my gun
In front of Dunham and my son
Blasted it with my gun
In front of Dunham and my son

One of the corpses in the lab, it burst open
Was filled with monster larvae
Get a bucket or two
I could-a been responsible for this too
I don't think we're too late
Can we use all the larvae as bait?
Yes, but no

At the lab we gave Charlie a sonogram
It turns out he was knocked up by the hybrid monster (oh no)
I could-a been responsible for this too

In the 1980s
Wasn't careful what I'd do
Though my transgenic lab work failed
Inspired by Deglmann
It was revived by Dr. Swift
I pursued the same science
So I need to clean this mess, hey hey

In the sewer, I shot the monster
I drank the poison and blasted it with my gun
In front of Dunham and my son

In the sewer, I shot the monster
I drank the poison and blasted it with my gun
In front of Dunham and my son
Blasted it with my gun
In front of Dunham and my son

Blasted it with my gun
In front of Dunham and my son

In the sewer, I shot the monster
I drank the poison and blasted it with my gun
In front of Dunham and my son

Blasted it with my gun
In front of Dunham and my son

Blasted it with my gun
Oh, the transfusion killed the larvae
Right in front of my son
So you can crap them out, Charlie
Blasted it with my gun

In the sewer, I shot the monster
In the sewer, I shot the monster
In the sewer, I shot the monster
In the sewer, I shot the monster

EPISODE 1.17: BAD DREAMS - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing" by Chris Isaak
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

Olivia had a bad, bad dream
Olivia had a bad, bad dream
Olivia had a bad, bad dream
Olivia had a bad, bad dream

Risa Pears pushed her 18-month daughter in a stroller
Grand Central Station
Three balloons - red, yellow and blue - tied to the stroller
Up went the red one
Olivia dreamed she pushed Mrs. Pears into the path of the oncoming train

Olivia had a bad, bad dream
Olivia had a bad, bad dream
Olivia had a bad, bad dream
She ain't lyin', she ain't lyin'

At an Italian restaurant, sat a couple named Billy
And Mouse Willis
They stood up and started yelling after she claimed he was flirting
With the young waitress
Olivia dreamed she took control of Mouse's arm
And then stabbed him 3 times, 1-2-3

Olivia had a bad, bad dream
Olivia had a bad, bad dream
Olivia had a bad, bad dream
She ain't lyin', she ain't lyin'

Ooooo
She ain't lyin', she ain't lyin'
Ooooo
She ain't lyin', no she ain't lyin'

The restaurant manager said a bystander had a scar
And was a blonde guy
Back at the lab, we watched some surveillance
footage
Of Risa's suicide
Lo and behold, the blonde man with the scar, he crossed the frame

They determined the blonde guy's named Nick Lane
Then I theorized
That Olivia became Nick Lane in her dreams
Sees through his eyes
Both Nick and Liv were born in Jacksonville, 1979

Cortexiphan buddies
Cortexiphan buddies
Cortexiphan buddies
Nick and Olive, Nick and Olive

Liv was placed in a hypnotic REM state
To see where Nick is
At a bar, he kissed a dancer, then he took her someplace
They copulated
Nick felt so guilty, which led to the dancer slashing her neck
She's dead (oh no)

At Nick's place, we saw a wall with newspaper clippings
Then they found him downtown
On a roof, Nick asked "Olive" to shoot him
A woman fell down
Olivia shot him in the legs before the others
Would jump down to their deaths

Found a VHS cassette
Found a VHS cassette
I stopped when I saw the label
Pressed "Play" on the VCR
There was a girl in yellow
I'd been talking to William Bell
About an incident
We couldn't locate Brenner
Belly asked me what triggered her
Obviously she was upset
And then I called her "Olive"

Ooooo
I feel like cryin', oh I feel like cryin'
Ooooo
Feel like cryin', oh I feel like cryin'
Oh!

EPISODE 1.18: MIDNIGHT - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Stonehenge" by Spinal Tap
Music composed by Christopher Guest & Michael McKean
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

In today's world...
There is a mysterious organization...
ZFT
No one knows who they all are
Or what exactly they are doing

Their work led to the death of Mr. Bob Dunn
(Dunn, Dunn, Dunn...)
He was found facedown, his spinal column exposed
So Agent Olivia Dunham
(Dun-Dun-Dunham....)
conducted an investigation
That led her to Dr. Nicholas Boone

Dr. Boone - works with ZFT
Orders extinct bacteria from the CDC
He deals with RUD 390
It's a compound used for bio-tragedy

Valerie - his infected wife
Men greet her at the club with corny pickup lines
She was dosed with XT43
It was Boone's punishment for trying to leave ZFT

The super-syphilis is what made Valerie cruel
Burns through her spinal fluid, so she needs to refuel
That's why Bob Dunn's spine was bitten by Valerie
She turns March and June into Halloween

Ahhhh! And while at work, Olivia receives a frantic call
From her sister Rachel!

Rachel - on the phone she weeps
From her husband Greg, divorce letter she receives
He's suing for full custody
Of their daughter Ella, so Rachel threatens to flee

Dr. Boone - will help the FBI
If they find his wife and bring her back alive
Thermal camera tracks down Valerie
She's injected with tranquilizers by Charlie

And from the backseat, Val grabs Olivia D.
Peter tranquilizes her again before she can kill with her teeth
The antidote cures her, her eyes turn from blue to green
But due to low spinal fluid, Boone dies unfortunately

Ahhhh! - How far would YOU go for someone you love?

And before Dr. Boone died,
he left Agent Dunham a video taped message.
He revealed some names,
including the man who funds ZFT:
William Bell

EPISODE 1.19: THE ROAD NOT TAKEN - The Fringemunks
Parody of "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

FBI briefing room
Talkin' 'bout impending doom
Broyles explains ZFT
To those who sort of need it
"Olivia and Charlie
They'll assign you to your teams
Here's the manifesto
Of ZFT, read it!"

New York: Susan Pratt
Walks outside and hails a cab
But it passes by
So she has to take a bus
Window is steaming up
Crossword puzzle smolders up
Tells the driver "Stop the bus!"
She gets off and combusts

Susan Pratt started the fire
It wasn't God nor Jesus
It was pyrokinesis
Susan Pratt started the fire
Couldn't help but ignite it
Didn't know how to fight it

Walter shows Peter B.
The defective 'y' key
Claims lost ZFT chapter
Shows Bell is ethical
Then the Fringe Science Team
Arrives at the combustion scene
Something strange in your neighborhood
Who you gonna call?
Nina Sharp says Massive D
And Bell are not the enemy
But says that Bell is currently
Traveling abroad
Harris forbids Broyles' team
To investigate Massive D
Despite all this
Broyles tells Olivia to press on

Susan Pratt started the fire
It wasn't God nor Jesus
It was pyrokinesis
Susan Pratt started the fire
Couldn't help but ignite it
Didn't know how to fight it

Apartment of Susan Pratt
Clothes are all gray and black
They find a 30,000-dollar check
From Isaac Winters
Walter spills Berry Boom
Olivia visits Winter's room
Hears the phone messages
Left by Susan Pratt to Winters

Whoa-hoa-hoa
Olivia's been experiencing
An alternate reality
Saw two configurations
Of Broyles' office setup
Photo showed 2 charred bodies
Then it showed just 1 body!
Boston skyline burning
Then not burning anymore!

Olivia thinks she's lost it
Walter says it's space-time pliability now
That caused extended deja vu
But just how did Olivia get this ability now?

Emmanuel Grayson
Claims that William Bell is one
That carried out experiments
To make super soldiers
Grayson thinks he's Spock, then
Salutes with the "Vulcan" hand
But it's for Liv that Harris
Orders psychiatric help
FBI briefing room
Olivia picks up the phone
Looks around the room
And sees that things are slightly different

Boston in a quarantine lockdown
But after seeing the photo of the 2 charred corpses
The office returns to normal
Olivia suspects Pratt has a twin, and indeed it's true

The twin is Nancy Lewis
Turns out she was kidnapped
Peter built a gift for Walter
Made from Walter's own equipment
To take a high-res image of
Nancy's steamed-up window
The window disk breaks but that's OK
Peter has the scan

He calibrates the audio
Then they hear Nancy screaming
And a nice jar breaking
Then they hear a phone dialing
Then Isaac Winters says
"I have her, see you there..."
He was talking to Harris
What else can I say?

Olivia and Charlie
Tailing Sanford Harris
They arrived at a warehouse
Harris and Winters have Nancy
Olivia saw her picture up on a wall,
a wall, a wall, a wall, a wall, a wall,
a wall, a wall, a wall...

All the people in the pictures
They were all subjects of Cortexiphan, yeah
Olivia finds Nancy
And somehow Nancy Lewis
Sets Harris on fire

Olivia talks to Walter
Walter starts to cry, says he meant no harm
Olivia asks what they did to her
Walter bawls somemore
Says he doesn't remember

Peter comforts Walter
Then back at the lab, Walter listens to records
Walter finds the lost ZFT chapter
The Observer says that it's time to go now

Then someone shoots Nina
A dark figure did it at her condominium

EPISODE 1.20: THERE'S MORE THAN ONE OF EVERYTHING - The Fringemunks
Parody of "It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)"
by R.E.M.
Music Composed by Bill Berry, Peter Buck, Mike Mills & Michael Stipe
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

That's great, it starts in the E.R. Nina Sharp, a gunshot
wound, and a torn bionic arm. Back at the FBI, Charlie
shows surveillance feed of Nina being shot by a man
wearing bandages. Turn it up a little bit. Voice match.
Oh no! David Robert Jones' face appears on the monitor.
Don't know who he's working for, but could it be for
William Bell? Then we get a call: Nina's out of surgery.
Walter Bishop's missing so they make a bunch of calls.
Can they track him down? Walter's at a tombstone. The
Observer's watching him. Look at Nina's arm, it's fine
-- thanks to... (uh oh) ...med techs from Massive Dynamic.
Then Olivia visits Nina, who says Bell's not the enemy.
Jones used to work for Bell, but Bell sort of snubbed him,
so he stole a power cell from Nina's right arm -- tried to
cross into another reality, but he failed and split a truck in
half.

It's from an alternate world, and he knows it.
It's from an alternate world, and he knows it.
It's from an alternate world, and he knows it.
It blows my mind.

Walter at a beach house with the Observer. Walter knows
he needs to find something, but he can't remember. Peter
arrives and he starts to reminisce: whale-shaped pancakes
-- the memory did the trick. Walter finds an old box with an
old coin on top, similar to the one the Observer gave him.
The device inside the box is a patch for a soft spot between
alternate realities. David Robert Jones tried to cross into
another reality, but he failed and split a soccer player in
half.

Peter uses the device at Reiden Lake.
Peter uses the device at Reiden Lake.
Peter uses the device at Reiden Lake.
(Stops Jones from crossing over.)
Splits Jones in half. Splits Jones in half.

The FBI can't investigate William Bell.
(Obama, was it your decision?)
The FBI can't investigate William Bell.
(Joe Biden, was it your decision?)
The FBI can't investigate William Bell.
(Pentagon, was it your decision?)
Orders from the top.

Walter Bishop cries, and he places the coin on a tombstone
that says:

------------
PETER BISHOP
------------

Meanwhile, Olivia is in Manhattan. Thanks to Nina Sharp,
she meets William Bell; then she realizes she's in a World
Trade Center tower... right? Right.

It's an alternate world, and she knows it.
It's an alternate world, and she knows it.
It's an alternate world, and she knows it.
(Olivia finally meets William Bell.)
It blows her mind.

It's the end of the season as we know it.
It's the end of the season as we know it.
It's the end of the season as we know it.
(Season 1 has come to an end.)
It blows my mind.

It's the end of the season as we know it.
(Season 1 has come to an end.)
It's the end of the season as we know it.
(Season 1 has come to an end.)
It's the end of the season as we know it.
(Season 1 has come to an end.)
It blows my mind.

It's the end of the season as we know it.
(See you soon in Season 2.)
It's the end of the season as we know it.
(See you soon in Season 2.)
It's the end of the season as we know it.
(See you soon in Season 2.)
It blows my mind.

EPISODE 1.21: UNEARTHED - The Fringemunks
Parody of "You Were On My Mind" by We Five
Music Composed by Sylvia Tyson
Parody Lyrics and All Instruments/Production by David Wu

ANNOUNCER: And now, recapping a Season 1 episode
that didn't air until Season 2, here are The Fringemunks!

[APPLAUSE]

I woke up after dying
You were in my mind
Your thoughts were in my mind
I was brain dead, whoa-oh
They pulled the plug on me, whoa-oh
They were trying to remove my kidney

But I woke up after dying
And you were in my brain
Your memories were in my brain
I was screaming out, whoa-oh
Some alphanumeric code, whoa-oh
6-8-3-3-9-Alpha-Echo-3-5-8

Yes I woke up after dying
And you controlled my mind
Your soul controlled my mind
I spoke in Russian, whoa-oh
I spoke in a low voice, whoa-oh
It got worse each time

But some people assisted me
Tried to remove your soul from me
At a Harvard basement lab
But I broke in your house, whoa-oh
I saw Mrs. Rusk there, whoa-oh
I pointed a gun at your wife's head

You were killed by a hitman
Hired by your wife
So you almost made me burn your wife
But then Charlie Francis, whoa-oh
He shot me with a tranquilizer, whoa-oh
And soon your soul was purged from mine

[APPLAUSE]
